History & Origins
After the creation of Signatory Vintage in 1988, Andrew Symington took over as head of Edradour in 2002. In 2018, a second distillery, built on the model of the original from 1825, was opened on the other side of the river, consolidating artisanal distillery know-how.
Product Overview
This Highland Single Malt has been aged in a second cask filler that contained the famous Caroni rum (Trinidad and Tobago). Offered at 48.2% in 70 cl, it is a Single Cask #98 with a precise profile, ideal for lovers of barrel aging and singular expressions.
Tasting notes
A combination of minerality and smoothness, the empyreumatic character of Caroni is clearly expressed. The aromatic and gustatory palette unfolds in floral, rustic and fruity sequences, evoking Perthshire, for a harmonious and persistent finish.
