A unique expression of the Islay terroir
Port Charlotte SC:01 2012 embodies the know-how of the Bruichladdich distillery, which highlights the origin of its ingredients and the influence of its maturation choices. This whisky captures the iodized and peaty power of Islay while marrying it with a gourmet richness brought by its varied casks.
An intense and harmonious aromatic profile
On the nose, an elegant smoke intertwines with aromas of ripe fruit and toasted almonds. On the palate, notes of brown sugar, orange peel and tropical fruits (pineapple, peach) are perfectly balanced with peat and a subtle touch of spicy wood. The long and persistent finish leaves a smoky and sweet imprint, revealing all the complexity of this remarkable single malt.
Bruichladdich
Bruichladdich, one of the only distilleries to fully imagine, distill, age and bottle its Whiskies and Gin on the island of Islay, a small remote island off the coast of Scotland, with a unique ecosystem.
