Known for some time now for his malt blends (Mizunara Wood Reserve, Ginkgo, Double Distilleries), this is the first time that Ichiro has sold his blends outside of Japan. Bottled at 46%, without cold filtration, it is a young and suave whisky but also rich and full of character, which demonstrates the talents of its creator.

The eponymous brand refers to Ichiro Akuto - grandson of the founder of the legendary Hanyu distillery (who stopped production in 2000). Ichiro then founded the nearby Chichibu distillery and managed to save a number of Hanyu barrels. Japanese distiller Ichiro Akuto's whiskies are among the most popular in the world.
