Old Brothers - MGB Batch 2 is a rare blend of three barrels of agricultural rums from the Bielledistillery in Marie-Galante. Two of them date from 2018, the third from 2016. Aged for at least 4 years in Bourbon barrels, they were bottled without cold filtration, after reduction in Marie-Galante rainwater. A limited edition of 1,267 bottles.

Careful ageing

Distilled in Grand-Bourg in Savalle columns, these rums have matured on site, developing an elegant and complex structure. The controlled reduction brings a remarkable sweetness while preserving the aromatic intensity.

An attractive flavour profile

Nose: Powerful and dry when opened, it reveals intense notes of mirabelle plum and dried peach, enriched with nougat and mastic, giving an irresistible umami character. Mouth: Suave and warm, it expresses itself on a yellow fruit jam, balanced by a refreshing peppery cane . Final: Persistent and greedy, it expresses a spicy woodiness and accents of orange peel.

Nose : Acidulé, citron confit, fine amertume de la peau de pamplemousse, kumquat, accompagnés par de notes de gâteau aux noix, d’écorce d’arbre fraîchement arrachée et de bâton de réglisse

Palate : Salade d'agrume, caramel à l'orange suivie par les épices (muscade, cannelle). Puisquelques notes légères d'oxydations.
