History and know-how

Located in the heart of the Habitation du Simon, the A1710Distillery perpetuates the art of Martinique rum through limited edition creations. The Midnight Sun edition pays tribute to the work of Moéana Risal, who has been able to sublimate the original blend by integrating a precious aged agricultural rum distilled in a still. After nearly two years of resting in oak barrels, this rum has benefited from a final maturation in cognac barrels, revealing an unprecedented aromatic richness.

Character and tasting

This 46.6% old rum seduces with its patinated copper colour with reflections of old gold. The nose unfolds notes of dried orange, liquorice and caramel, followed by aromas of icaque and grape on a subtly smoky framework. On the palate, the intensity is balanced between candied plums, Indian wood and macadamia nuts, for an elegant and harmonious finish. Each decanter, engraved and adorned with a hand-shaped tassel, embodies the excellence and distinctive craftsmanship of A1710.
