History of the distillery

Anchored on the Habitation du Simon, the Maison A1710 is committed to preserving Martinique's agricultural diversity through a demanding artisanal approach. His work around specific varieties of sugar cane illustrates a constant desire to express the identity of Martinican spirits through a precise know-how that respects raw materials.

Presentation of this blue cane

Composed only of organic blue cane, A1710 – Cantique 2020 Bio is a patiently aged vintage, bottled cask strength and unfiltered, displaying 55.5%. Its amber colour with coppery nuances testifies to careful ageing. Presented in a decanter dressed in a braiding of bakoua handmade by a Martinican ESAT, this rum highlights an authentic artisanal gesture and a sustainable approach, highlighting a local material emblematic of the West Indies.

Tasting notes

The nose reveals a complex structure combining woody notes, sweet spices and candied fruit. On the palate, the controlled power is accompanied by a marked length, underlining the aromatic richness of the blue cane and the precision of its ageing.
