In 1917, Jacques Bally, the founder of the brand, acquired this estate. Thanks to his expertise acquired at the École Centrale de Paris, he achieved a remarkable feat by building his own distillation column.

Jacques Bally had the intuition to draw inspiration from the aging techniques used in the cognac industry, and this bold strategy was successful.
