Old Hardy Rum comes from the authentic rum tradition of the Caravelle peninsula, a region famous for the exceptional quality of its sugar cane. Grown in a preserved environment, these canes are the foundation of a rum of unparalleled richness. The distillery's unique know-how, passed down from generation to generation, combines ancestral techniques and innovation to create rums of extraordinary complexity and finesse. Old Hardy Rum is a reflection of this heritage, preciously aged for at least three years to achieve aromatic perfection.

This old packaging of the Rhum Vieux Hardy, now rare, is a real treasure for amateurs and collectors. Aged for a minimum of three years, this aged rum expresses all the splendour of its terroir with intense fruity notes and an aromatic palette rich in honey, mocha and roasted coffee nuances, embellished with delicate spicy touches. Each bottle is an invitation to explore a deep and bewitching world of taste, where each aroma plays its part in perfect harmony.

Let's move on to the tasting of this old rum Hardy

The first nose of Rhum Vieux Hardy reveals a seductive fruity intensity, with dominant aromas of prune, fig, and date, offering an introduction that is both flattering and greedy. This introduction is closely followed by honeyed notes, enriched by the deep character of mocha and roasted coffee, all subtly enhanced by fine spices. On the palate, its complexity unfolds elegantly, asserting a roundness and length that captivates and invites thoughtful tasting, with each sip revealing new layers of flavors.

Hardy

Founded in 1830 by Emilien Bonneville, the Hardy plantation is located in Tartane on the Caravelle peninsula (Martinique). All that remains are the ruins of the steam engines and fermentation tanks.
