A blend from the Mauritian terroir

Made from distillates from two distilleries in Mauritius, this rum combines pure sugar cane juice and molasses. This double origin gives a rich aromatic base, representative of the local know-how in rum and spirits, between tradition and technical precision.

Double ageing with contrasting influences

Aged between 8 and 14 years, MC Explorer Laphroaig Cask Finish is matured in bourbon casks and then in old casks from the Laphroaig distillery. This process brings an elegant structure, where the warmth of Mauritian rum meets smoky and saline nuances, typical of peated whiskies from Islay, without unbalancing the whole.

An intense and controlled aromatic palette

The nose opens with notes of grilled meats, honey and nuts, enhanced by lemon zest and a touch of vanilla, accompanied by a discreet peat smoke. The palate, ample and unctuous, reveals flavours of smoked meat, cracked pepper and a slight salinity. The long and persistent finish extends these nuances with notes of cashew nuts and a delicate herbaceous structure.
