MC Explorer Oloroso Sherry XO
A double origin at the heart of the identity
Made from distillates from two distilleries in Mauritius, this rum combines pure sugar cane juice and molasses. This complementarity gives a singular aromatic richness, between vegetal vivacity and rounder structure, characteristic of the great rums of the Mauritian tradition.
Ageing in Oloroso sherry casks
MC Explorer Oloroso Sherry XO is aged for 8 to 14 years in Oloroso sherry casks. This prolonged contact with the wood enriches the rum with warm and pastry nuances, while bringing a controlled sweetness. The final blend reveals a precise balance between aromatic intensity and elegance.
A greedy and structured aromatic profile
The nose opens with notes of fresh sugar cane, accompanied by aromas of pie and fruitcake. The palate, round and generous, reveals flavours of ripe banana, caramel, Demerara sugar and nuts. The medium to long finish blends sweetness, ginger and subtle herbal nuances, offering a harmonious and persistent conclusion.
