New Grove Double Cask Moscatel

New Grove - Double Cask Moscatel is a refined Mauritian rum, aged for 7 years in French oak barrels before being finished for one year in Moscatel barrels. This original maturation gives it a remarkable freshness and complexity, earning it the gold medal at the Rhum Fest Paris 2016 in the "Innovation of the Year" category.

Controlled ageing for a unique signature

This rum develops a rich aromatic palette thanks to the combined influence of French oak and sweet Moscatel wine. This double maturation brings roundness and intensity, subtly balancing sweetness and spices.

A gourmet and spicy aromatic profile

Its colour oscillates between amber and caramel. On the nose, complex aromas of cooked caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, pepper and apple mingle with notes of walnuts and liquorice. On the palate, a slight sweetness highlights honey, wood and liquorice, accompanied by a herbaceous touch and a warming spicy sensation. The finish, long and elegant, is based on vanilla and wood, with a slight return of pepper and nuts.
