Our tasting notes for Maurice 9 years old (secret distillery)

Nose : Comme une douce balade à travers un étalage d’épices fines. Du poivre noir, du cumin, du riz, une touche somme toute amidonnée mais aussi un peu sucrée se dévoile avec des arômes de caramel beurre salée.

Palate : Un rhum gourmand et fruité. En bouche il développe ses arômes de fruits rouges (fraises, groseilles) et évolue sur le pur jus de canne qui rappelant ainsi sa matière première.

Finish : Etonnamment, malgré cette entrée en matière plutôt facile, la fin de bouche avec une amertume relevée lui confère un sublime équilibre.

The idea was born from the Portuguese, English, Dutch and French East India companies of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, which selected rare commodities from distant lands and imported them into their respective countries. Like the latter, we select the best qualities of rum and import them in France. Compagnie des Indes rums, whether bottled in Single Casks or assembled to bring out the typicality and qualities of each destination, are selected with great rigor.
