Ageing in solera for an exceptional rum

Originally from Penjamo, Mexico, El Ron Prohibido Rum Habanero is made in the eponymous distillery. This rum is aged in oak barrels according to the solera method, inspired by the ageing of sherry wines. This technique makes it possible to harmoniously marry rums of different ages for a unique aromatic richness.

An intense and balanced aromatic profile

The nose opens with caramelized notes accompanied by toasted woodiness. Aromas of hazelnut, walnut and toasted almonds mingle with spices such as cloves. On the palate, the balance is subtle between sweetness and power, with toasted nuts infused in rum. The finish, marked by coffee, cocoa and dark chocolate, brings aromatic depth and a nice length in the mouth.
