El Destilado Rum Overproof Rum
A rum made by the Krassel family, 3 generations of whom now work at the distillery, located in the mountainous region of La Cañada, in Mexico. A white rum 100% pure cane juice, grown between 800 and 1400m above sea level. The altitude plays on the life cycle of the cane, extending it up to 18 months, and the low temperatures, especially at night, imply a slower fermentation, giving a distinctive aroma to this rum.
The cane juice is transformed by spontaneous fermentation and then distilled continuously in a single 8-tray still , created by the Krassel family. The unique terroir and the fermentation and distillation methods make it a rum with a delicate and very fragrant aromatic profile.
