Distilled during the 2003 sugar season, this rum was aged on May 10, 2004 in old cognac barrels in the heart of the Savanna cellars, and was finally matured for more than 12 months in an oak barrel that had previously contained great port wines. The care taken in its ageing a few steps from the Indian Ocean, the choice of barrels and the alchemy of tropical aging gives this exceptional rum its elegance, concentration, fragrances and all the nobility of a rare and artisanal spirit. An old gold dress with coppery reflections testifies to the long years of aging and a few months finally spent in contact with a wood that has already contained Port.
