About the distillery Mhoba

Founded in 2013 by Robert Greaves, the Mhoba distillery is located on a 400-hectare estate in South Africa. Dedicated to the organic cultivation of nkomazi sugar cane , harvested by hand, it quickly established itself with its artisanal approach and assertive style. Its rums, made from pure cane juice and long fermentations that can last up to three weeks, are distinguished by their aromatic intensity and richness in esters.

Presentation of this limited edition

The Satara Horizon MHOBA takes its name from a Rest Camp in the Kruger Park. Aged for 50 months in a bourbon cask from Woodford Reserve, it expresses all the ardour and generosity characteristic of the distillery. Bottled cask strength at 64.6% vol., it is offered in a limited edition of only 282 copies, making it a collector's item for lovers of powerful artisanal rums.

His palette, abundant and vivacious, mixes empyreumatic, medicinal, spicy, tropical and balsamic notes. Both exuberant and refined, this rum combines power and freshness in a singular and captivating expression.
