Bourbon Barrel Aged Beenleigh rum is produced from molasses that ferments for 96 hours, after which the ferment, which reaches an ABV of 8%, is distilled first in a continuous column where it reaches a blood alcohol level of 60% and a second time in a 15,000-litre copper still from which it comes out with an ABV of 78%.

It is then left to age at full rate in ex-Bourbon oak barrels for 2 and a half years, then the alcohol content is lowered to 40% before bottling.
