A historic distillery: Classic Magnum Photos Edition Series 2 - Beenleigh 8 years

Founded in 1884 on the banks of the Albert River in Queensland, the Beenleigh distillery is one of the oldest in Australia. It uses traditional methods to produce its rums from molasses extracted from sugar cane, crushed by the last private mill in the country, the Rocky Point Sugar Mill. This rum embodies all the know-how of a distillation combining a continuous column and "The Old Copper" pot still, inspired by the old Demerara stills.
