Twelve Barbados & Jamaica is a bold blend, made in Laguiole by Florent Caston, a spirits enthusiast and whisky producer. This blend brings together molasses rums distilled in stills at three iconic distilleries: Clarendon (35%) and Worthy Park (25%) in Jamaica, as well as Foursquare (40%) in Barbados. Aged first in a tropical climate, then refined in the Aubrac, this rum was bottled cask strength, thus preserving all its intensity.

A blend of complementary terroirs

Jamaican rums bring their powerful and esterified character, while Barbados balances the whole with a rounder and more gourmand structure. The maturation in two stages – in the tropics and then in France – enriches its aromatic palette and gives it a beautiful complexity.

A powerful and exuberant rum

Its nose is both funky and greedy, mixing very ripe exotic fruits and pastry spices reminiscent of gingerbread. With aeration, vegetal and coconut notes bring a softer and more balanced touch. On the palate, the round attack quickly gives way to a rise in power where tropical fruits explode into a concentrated syrup. The finish, more composed, gives way to a light and vanilla woodiness, elegantly prolonging this intense tasting.
