Tamosi Belize Vintage 2006 16 Year Old Obano-Oyo
Infused with the know-how of the Travellers distillery in Belize, this rum, dating from 2006, has patiently matured for 16 years, with 13 of those years spent at the distillery itself. It stands out for its unique nuances of farmhouse "funk" and succulent fruit, renewing the traditional Belizean profile. Every drop is the work of a passionate independent bottler. Originally made from molasses, it has been preserved in its natural state, bottled directly from the barrel, and matured first in Bourbon barrels in both tropical and continental climates.
But beyond its taste, this bottle whispers to you the ancient legend of Obano-Oyo Koyaha, l'esprit Mother of the Earth, building a bridge between the spiritual world and our own. An experience not to be missed.
Tamosi, embouteilleur indépendant
Storytelling has always been at the heart of Caribbean culture and Tamosi perpetuate this tradition. Each bottling contains a printed narrative of stories from the original peoples of the Caribbean (the Arawaks, the Caribbean, the Warau, the Akawaios, the Macusi) as well as stories brought back from the African continent. With stories dating back millennia, we aim to provide a unique and proud insight into Caribbean history and raise awareness of a wider range of Caribbean cultures.
