Coloma Beautiful Mistake
A story born of a mistake that has become a legend
At the origin of this rum, a mistake by two Maestras Roneras at the Hacienda Coloma : a barrel of rum poured into an old barrel of coffee liqueur. This accidental gesture revealed an unexpected alchemy, giving rise to a new finishing method that is now emblematic of the house Coloma. This "beautiful mistake" has become the symbol of daring creativity and know-how passed on with passion.
A Colombian rum of rare elegance
The Ron Coloma Beautiful Mistake is a 13-year-old rum, the result of a careful selection of the very first casks that gave life to this singular method. Its finish in coffee liqueur barrels gives it a unique aromatic depth, where sweetness, balance and complexity are combined with a remarkable harmony, making this limited edition a true celebration of serendipity.
Coloma
The history of Coloma rum is intimately linked to that of the Constain family. Although he was recently born thanks to Alberto Constain Cenzano, it all started with his father, Alberto Constain Medina, in 1959. That year, the young entrepreneur became the proud owner of a family country house built in the late nineteenth century in Fusagasugá, in the heart of Colombia.
