An iconic craft distillery

The Vaval distillery, located in Cavaillon in southwestern Haiti, is known for its traditional approach. The clairin is produced from the local Madame Meuze variety of sugar cane, naturally fermented and distilled in an artisanal still. This ancestral know-how gives each lot a marked identity and an unparalleled authenticity.

Bold ageing

Le Vieux Vaval 7 Year Old Cask Strength Caroni Cask No. VV17CR-5 is the result of seven years of ageing in a tropical climate in a cask that contained the mythical Caronirum. This intense maturation, combined with a cask strength bottling (without reduction), allows all the power and complexity of the aged clairin to be expressed, in a unique Single Cask version.

Clairin

Made only in Haiti, Clairin is a brandy produced from sugar cane, just like agricultural rum.
