The distillery uses locally grown sugar cane harvested by hand. The cane is then crushed to extract the juice, and left to ferment for a period of 72 hours with the addition of baker's yeast. The must (or cane wine) obtained is then distilled in two old stills with Creole column (Savalle) at about 70%. The rum is then aged on site in ex-bourbon barrels.

Tamosi, embouteilleur indépendant

Storytelling has always been at the heart of Caribbean culture and Tamosi perpetuate this tradition. Each bottling contains a printed narrative of stories from the original peoples of the Caribbean (the Arawaks, the Caribbean, the Warau, the Akawaios, the Macusi) as well as stories brought back from the African continent. With stories dating back millennia, we aim to provide a unique and proud insight into Caribbean history and raise awareness of a wider range of Caribbean cultures.
