A historic distillery in the heart of Martinique

The history of the J.M distillery began in 1790, when Antoine Leroux-Préville acquired the Habitation Bellevue, located in Macouba. This estate became a distillery in 1845 under the impetus of Jean-Marie Martin, who gave his name to the J.M. In 2002, the Crassous de Médeuil family sold the estate to the Bernard Hayot group, which completely renovated the distillery in 2013, preserving its heritage while modernising its facilities.

Located in the north of the island of Martinique and at the foot of Mount Pelée, the Rhumerie J.M distills and raises old J.M. rums. It was in 1914 that Jean-Marie Martin, who gave his name to JM rums, sold the property to Gustave Crassous de Médeuil.
