A unique Martinican heritage

Founded in 1842, the La Favorite distillery is one of the last independent family distilleries in Martinique. Specialising in agricultural rum, it perpetuates traditional production methods, favouring column distillation and ageing in the intense climate of the Caribbean. Each bottle is carefully showcased with hand-crafted labeling and wax sealing.

A refined and powerful vintage

The Cuvée la Flibuste Millésime 1985 was distilled in columns before being aged in ex-bourbon barrels, giving the rum deep aromas of vanilla, spices and dried fruits. Its prolonged ageing in a tropical climate intensifies its woody notes and aromatic richness, offering an unforgettable tasting experience.

Our tasting notes for Cuvée la Flibuste Vintage 1985

Nose : Chaleureux et épicé, caramel cuit, miel d’acacia, pruneaux cuits, bois cirés.

Palate : Attaque onctueuse, puissante, puis se dégage une étonnante richesse aromatique, où on retrouve les arômes perçus au nez, mais aussi de la vanille, de la crème brûlée, de la banane séchée, ainsi que de nombreuses épices.

Finish : La finale est un peu plus boisée et astringente,tout en persistant longuement sur les principales notes fruitées et épicées.
