A family and artisanal heritage

Located in Martinique, the La Favorite distillery is the last independent family winery in the Port-de-France region. Founded in 1842 under the name of La Jambette, it went through crises and natural disasters before being relaunched in 1905 by the Dormoy family, who are still at the helm today. Its production method remains artisanal, with steam distillation and manual bottling.

An exceptional vintage

The Cuvée la Flibuste Millésime 1986 is an agricultural rum aged for many years in oak barrels, developing a remarkable aromatic richness. Its production is based on a rigorous selection of eaux-de-vie and patient maturation, guaranteeing a perfect harmony between power and elegance.

Our tasting notes for Cuvée la Flibuste Vintage 1986

Nose : Chaleureux et épicé, caramel cuit, miel d’acacia, pruneaux cuits, bois cirés.

Palate : Attaque onctueuse, puissante, puis se dégage une étonnante richesse aromatique, où on retrouve les arômes perçus au nez, mais aussi de la vanille, de la crème brûlée, de la banane séchée, ainsi que de nombreuses épices.

Finish : La finale est un peu plus boisée et astringente,tout en persistant longuement sur les principales notes fruitées et épicées.
