Our tasting notes for Heart of rum

Nose : Nez puissant et élégant à la fois. Avec de belles notes vanillées, caramel au beurre et un peu de banane cuite.

Palate : Attaque bien moelleuse et ample ; puis le rhum monte en puissance en devenant plus sec et plus épicé, au point d’en devenir un peu austère. Les tanins du moins s’inscrivent durement, dominant les notes de fruits secs et cuits.

Finish : La persistance en bouche est particulièrement longue, se terminant par une pointe alerte d’astringence. Un tout autre visage de la Martinique, à découvrir absolument.

La Favorite is a family and independent distillery, one of the last in Martinique It distills, every year for nearly 180 years, about 450,000 liters of agricultural rum in an authentic and artisanal way.
