Selected for the 40th anniversary of the House Dugas, this Special Cuvée is a Brut de Fûts from our Cœur de Rhum, a 4-year-old rum.

Made from a blend of 2016 barrels, this unique edition of 1,000 numbered bottles has been bottled without reduction, without cold filtration, to offer you an intense and complex tasting, with notes of spices and ripe fruit.

Our tasting notes for Le Brut Coeur de rum 40 years Dugas

Nose : Nez puissant et élégant à la fois. Avec de belles notes vanillées, caramel au beurre et un peu de banane cuite.

Palate : Attaque bien moelleuse et ample ; puis le rhum monte en puissance en devenant plus sec et plus épicé, au point d’en devenir un peu austère. Les tanins du moins s’inscrivent durement, dominant les notes de fruits secs et cuits.

Finish : La persistance en bouche est particulièrement longue, se terminant par une pointe alerte d’astringence. Un tout autre visage de la Martinique, à découvrir absolument.
