It was in January 2020 for the third consecutive year that the sailing schooner Tres Hombres made a stopover in Martinique. This year the Tres Hombres selected rum from the 2015 harvest after having spent 5 years in the aging cellar of the La Favorite distillery, this selection was put into 2 barrels ex Armagnac and ex Madeira.

The transatlantic will offer rum an extraordinary organoleptic evolution thanks to a dynamic aging of 6 months at sea. The trip + rest in Madeira and Armagnac barrels is added to this particular aging offering us a complex and gourmet rum. First notes of citrus (candied orange) the woody tannins of Madeira are pleasantly present. Armagnac has given it a drier side that we are not used to find in the Rhums de La Favorite. Notes of prunes with a very interesting minty finish. The hand-bottling took place in October 2020 by Fairtransport in Den Helder, Holland, home port of the Tres Hombres.

The rums TRES HOMBRES are transported from the Caribbean by the schooner of the same name, bottled in Amsterdam by the company Fairtransport of which les frères de la côte are representative in France.
