A blend of two iconic styles

This rum brings together distillates from two distilleries in Mauritius, made from pure sugar cane juice and molasses. It combines an 8-year-old agricultural rum with a 14-year-old English-style molasses rum, creating a complex base where vegetal freshness and depth complement each other harmoniously.

Maturing in Ruby Port barrels

MC Explorer Port Cask Finish benefits from an initial aging in bourbon barrels, followed by refining in old Ruby Port casks. This passage in fortified wine barrels brings fruity notes and a controlled sweetness, while reinforcing the structure and aromatic richness of the rum.

A fruity and spicy aromatic expression

The nose reveals notes of anise and coffee, supported by a touch of salted butter caramel. The palate opens with flavours of marmalade and red fruits, offering a beautiful intensity. The finish, round and fruity, stretches over nuances of candied citrus, leaving a balanced and persistent impression.
