Savanna Herr Japan Tribute 2022 release

The 2006 vintage HERR rum was contained in Savanna cask 218, which was bottled in 2017 for Shinanoya & Bar Lamp in Japan. It is a molasses rum with unbridled esters that has strongly marked the wood with its extravagant aromas. After the release of the HERR, the cellar master used cask 218 to finish two other rums, one grand aroma and one agricultural, each issued under the initials "Herr Japan Tribute".

For this third opus, the cellar master decided to experiment with the ageing of an agricultural white rum distilled in 2019. The result is a barrel-strength cane juice rum with an absolutely atypical profile, with amylic, flowery and fruity notes from the nose, a deep woodiness and a tonic, more vegetal and sweet mouthfeel, with a slight bitterness.
