Aged since 2001 at the Aldea distillery in La Palma, this rum was prepared for its sailing voyage of nearly 10,000 miles over the Atlantic Ocean. A cask of Sherry Oloroso and one of Port took this Vintage rum on a 7-month Atlantic tour, infusing the Tres Hombres spirit into this fabulous distillate.

Salud! Sugar cane is grown on Aldea's own fields and grown without the addition of fertilizers or pesticides. After distillation, the rum matured for 18 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and also underwent a kind of second ageing in the hold of Très Hombres for another 7 months. As the ship is constantly moving, contact with the wood is again intensified. The Oloroso Sherry and Port barrels infused their esprit during the time on board for a memorable finish. Tasting Notes: The colors of rum turn to gold once poured into your glass. You will experience the smell of licorice, honey, flowers, and caramel. Quite strong and feisty of course. A rather complex experience, not only for tasting, but also for the nose. Design: Each bottle is richly decorated with motifs of the Très Hombres and their travels. The design was made by Lynx Guimond who, not only made the famous figurehead of Très Hombres, but also made this masterpiece of wood carving just above the steering wheel. Closed with a natural stopper and sealed with beeswax. Each variety has its own color. To do this, the wax is mixed with color pigments that are ground from natural raw materials in a traditional windmill in Zaandam.
