After distillation, the rum was aged for 10 years in solera in ex-Bourbon oak barrels. It was then aged at sea in barrels ex Palo Cortado and ex Moscatel in the hold of the Tres Hombres for 6 months.

A first exchange will be created with the tannins of the old barrels but also the movement of the ship for several months will overoxygenate the rum by giving it a better integration of alcohol, a roundness particular to this dynamic aging at sea.

The rums TRES HOMBRES are transported from the Caribbean by the schooner of the same name, bottled in Amsterdam by the company Fairtransport of which les frères de la côte are representative in France.
