Hampden Estate Trelawny 8 years old

More than a change of label, we learn that the blend of rums that make up this reduced Trelawny is an OWH mark, distilled in 2011 & 2012 and aged 8 years at the distillery. This is called tropical aging. The label also specifies that 8 years in the tropics is equivalent to 25 years of aging in Europe.

What does the OWH mark mean?

OWH (Outram W Hussey) is the lowest mark in terms of non-alcoholic particles (congeners). We are talking about 40-80 gr/hlaap of ester.

"This rum is the spearhead of the revival of Jamaican style. Its exotic fruit flavours reveal the potential of Jamaica's long fermentations. " Florent Lenziani Florent Lenziani Store Manager

How to distinguish Batch 1 from Batch 2 for this 8-year-old Hampden?

The term "8 years" is indicated only on batch 2. Batch 1 has no age mentioned on the label and the box.
