The Trois Rivières 1953 vintage embodies the heritage of Martinique agricultural rum. Distilled in 1953, it is the result of pure sugar cane juice, aged in oak barrels to reveal complex and refined aromas. This historic vintage is the first in an emblematic series, launched after the distillery abandoned molasses in favour of agricultural rum in 1940. Its unique profile reflects the craftsmanship and richness of Martinique's land.

The fascinating history of the distillery Trois Rivières

Founded in the seventeenth century, the Trois Rivières plantation extends over land bordered by three rivers: Oman, Bois d'Inde and Saint-Pierre. The rum industry began in 1785 under Etienne Isaïe Marraud des Grottes. After its purchase in 1953 by the Marraud des Grottes family, who already owned the Duquesne distillery, Trois Rivières specialized in the production of agricultural rums. This heritage has survived the centuries, reinforcing its reputation for excellence.

La Plantation Trois Rivières is more than 350 years of history! In 1660, Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV's Superintendent of Finance, won the largest concession ever granted to the West Indies: 2000 hectares located in the south of the island.
