History

The Maître-Cannier series pays tribute to the women and men who promote the Moulien terroir. Their mastery of cultivation practices creates the essential link between soil, climate and sugar cane, at the heart of the identity of this authentic rum , designed for spirits enthusiasts.

Elaboration

Papa Rouyo - Cuvée Maître cannier Batch 2 is a pure cane juice rum distilled in an iron still, implemented in February 2024. Presented in a brut d'alembic, it favours aromatic frankness and density of the palate, signatures of an artisanal distillery attentive to the expression of the terroir and the precision of the cuts.

Tasting & Pairings

Powerful and fruity profile, carried by tropical fruits and delicate liquorice. Recommended pairing: bluefin tuna tataki marinated in tamarind with sweet potato purée slightly vanilla: the richness of the rum harmonizes with the acidity of the tamarind and the natural spices of the fish, for a precise and refined whole.
