La Favorite Canne Zicac Récolte 2024
A piecemeal approach at the heart of La Favorite
With this 2024 harvest, La Favorite continues its work on plot-by-plot and monovarietal agricultural rums. The Zicac plot, located near La Digue in Martinique, covers 1.5 hectares planted with Reunionese cane R579, a variety recently integrated into the distillery's crops. Harvested in July 2024, this cane produced a particularly sweet juice, offering a singular aromatic base.
A precisely refined agricultural white rum
After distillation in traditional Creole columns, this white rum has been matured for more than 72 weeks. Gradually reduced and stirred for a long time, it develops a new aromatic signature, marked by a fruity profile and a beautiful richness of character. This method of ageing brings balance and depth, while preserving the vegetal freshness specific to the great Martinican agricultural rums.
