For its production, AOC Martinique white rumand "Fleur de Canne" from Rhum Saint James were used as well as a homemade "pig syrup" jam "Made in Basse-Pointe" with the help of the community of this small town in the North of Martinique ♡. Also called surette, surelle in Guadeloupe or girembelle in metropolitan France and Reunion, this fruit looks like a small yellow berry rather acidic and grows on a tree in tropical areas. This fruit is used to make excellent jams that are then mainly used by older generations to sweeten the famous Ti-punch, an emblem of Martinique's savoir-vivre. As it is not industrially grown, we managed to mobilize the city of Basse-pointe and its surroundings to ask its inhabitants for help to find as many surettes as possible, in order to have an excellent homemade jam made by Lisea and her husband Pierre, also from Basse-Pointe. This was then vacuum-packed to Les Rhums De Ced', to make our next "Siret Cochon" cuvée. A bottled Ti-punch with 100% Martinican jam and fruit. The sugar for the preparation of the jam obviously comes from the Galion factory in Martinique. The label was made by the artist Hélène Raffestin (Atelier 49, in Fort-de-France).
