Rivière Du Mat Vintage 1997
Faithful to its terroir and its noble origins, this superb 1997 vintage reveals all the character of the Distillery's Rhums Vieux Agricoles. From a single batch distilled in 1997 and patiently aged for more than two decades in French oak barrels, with a stay in ex-Burgundy barrels and then in ex-Cognac barrels.
Presented under a precious case of wood and leather with two tasting glasses, this limited edition of only 600 pieces worldwide will delight any passionate enthusiast.

Nose : Nez soutenu de fruits mûrs et macérés, de prunes et de confitures d’orange, parfums d’épices
Palate : Puissante, ronde et intense, aux saveurs fruitées évoluant vers des notes plus complexes. Véritable cocktail de boisé fin, de notes empyreumatiques et d’épices, à la très longue finale aromatique et généreuse.

The Rivière du Mât distillery is one of the oldest distilleries on Reunion Island, it was created in Rivière du Mât in 1886 and transferred to St Benoit in 1984.
