An independent family distillery
Located in Fort-de-France, Martinique, the La Favorite distillery has been perpetuating ancestral know-how since 1842. Independent and family-owned, it makes its agricultural rums from pure cane juice, distilled in traditional copper columns. It is one of the last to run entirely on steam, guaranteeing artisanal and controlled production.
A singular cuvée, between tradition and innovation
Exploration n°6.1 is made from a blend of rums distilled in 2022, which have been aged for 25 months in barrels that have contained white wine from Sauternes. These barrels, supplied by the Tonnellerie Navarre, bring subtle and greedy notes, reinforcing the complexity of the rum. The bottling in August 2024, limited to 2000 units, gives this cuvée a precious rarity for connoisseurs.
