History of the artisan house

Founded in Martinique, the artisanal distillery La Favorite perpetuates a tradition of pure agricultural rum cane juice. This cuvée is the result of a collaboration with Les Frères De La Côte, sailors-breeders known for their maturation journeys at sea, inserting the "navigation" dimension into the world of exceptional spirits.

Product Overview

Old agricultural rum , aged for 40 months : 33 months in French oak barrels in a tropical climate, 4 months at sea in a French whisky cask (French oak), then 3 months of Forezian rest in Saint-Étienne. The blend receives a slight reduction before bottling (end of September 2025). Uncolored – Not cold filtered. Limited edition of 307 bottles. A singular profile, marked by the ex-whisky finish, the aging in barrels and the saline influence of travel.

Tasting notes & pairings

  • Nose : candied exotic fruits, pastry notes, vanilla, sweet spices, elegant wood.
  • Palate : round and full; ripe fruit, hints of honey, fine salinity and a hint of smoke inherited from the whisky cask and the sea.
  • Finish : long, refined, woody-spicy, enhanced by a delicate marine signature.
  • Pairings : dark chocolate, candied citrus peel, light and aromatic cigar.
