An exceptional terroir

Located in the north of Mauritius, near Mapou, the Labourdonnais distillery grows its sugar cane on a vast historic estate. Contrary to local tradition, it favours the fermentation of pure cane juice, giving its rums a remarkable finesse and freshness.

Careful ageing

This XO cuvée is made from a blend of rums aged for at least 5 years. This passage in barrels allows to express all the complexity of the Mauritian terroir, sublimating the natural aromas of the rum.

A gourmet aromatic profile

At the tasting, this rum reveals generous notes of honey, prune and caramel, offering a beautiful intensity in the mouth. An invitation to travel, between tradition and modernity, in the heart of the Indian Ocean.

Labourdonnais

Formerly Rhumerie de Mascareignes, Le domaine de Labourdonnais was founded in 1771 and houses a castle, now converted into a museum. Located in Mapou this distillery uses fresh cane juice for the creation of these rums.
