A Reunionese heritage

Located in Saint-Louis, in the southwest of Reunion Island, Rivière du Mât is one of the most emblematic distilleries in the Indian Ocean. His mastery of maturation makes it possible to create rums of great finesse, fully expressing the unique character of their terroir.

Controlled ageing

This VSOP is a blend of rums that have rested for 4 years in barrels, developing a beautiful aromatic complexity. Its refinement brings balance and depth, highlighting its woody and fruity nuances.

A refined aromatic profile

Its luminous colour precedes a fresh nose, dominated by notes of menthol and exotic fruits. On the palate, the flavours of grilled fruit, spices and vanilla intertwine harmoniously, offering a rich and subtle tasting.

Our tasting notes for VSOP

Nose : Scents of fruits and plants; vanilla, pepper mint, gingerbread, liquorice, blond tobacco.

Palate : Supple and tonic, delicate aromas.

Finish : Nice and delicate aromatic combination, very subtle.

The Rivière du Mât distillery is one of the oldest distilleries on Reunion Island, it was created in Rivière du Mât in 1886 and transferred to St Benoit in 1984.
