Michel Couvreur Intravagan'za
Extravagance mastered according to Michel Couvreur
Faithful to l'esprit iconoclastic of its founder, the Michel Couvreur house is pushing experimentation with Intravagan'za. This blend combines Scotch malt whiskies and cereal brandies, aged in the Burgundy cellars of Bouze-lès-Beaune in carefully selected sherry casks, wine and other containers. Neither cold-filtered nor coloured, this whisky fully assumes its exuberant side.
A generous aromatic whirlwind
The colour is a deep amber, almost coppery. On the nose, Intravagan'za is exuberant: notes of candied fruit, fruit paste, salted butter caramel and oriental spices. On the palate, the texture is generous and enveloping, with flavors of raisins, chocolate, cinnamon and orange zest. The finish, long and warm, leaves a trail of sherry and spicy wood. A whisky with character that keeps all the promises of its name.
Our tasting notes for Intravagan'za
